The Program
- Student activities will link to: “Characteristics and Needs of Living Things”, and “Growth and Changes in Animals”
( Gr.1 & 2 Science, Life Systems.)
- “Sensational Scavenger Hunt” – Identifying the needs of living things ( food, air, water, light and space ) by going on a
scavenger hunt.
- Exploring the forest’s flora and fauna with your senses.
- Nosey Activities will get the student to recognize the smells of the forest.
- Looking Here and There to find familiar animals and describe physical, behavioural characteristics and how animals adapt.
- Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Is to what makes up the forest “orchestra”.
- Touchy Stuff explores the textures of the forest.
